.    1. Detroit Lions – Marc Sanchez

     Mel Kiper is adament that Stafford is the pick.  However, Stafford has a strong arm and is questionalbe everywhere else.  The consensus is that either Jason Smith or Aaron Curry are the alternatives; however, this draft is loaded in OL and LB.  Detroit will have ample opportunity to grab the Maualunga at #20 or Lauranitus.  Plus, with Britton, Beatty, and Meredith available later there is no point in going for Smith at this point; not to mention, Jeff Backus is a solid LT who has never played next to a solid LG.  Look for Meredith or Duke Robinson to go to Detroit with the first pick on day 2.  Lastly, for what Sanchez lacks in arm strength he excels everywhere else.  Intangibles, intelligence, and agility make him the better choice than Stafford.  The only rational for Stafford here is that he fits into Linehan's mold, but as Schwartz said when he came to Detroit: there is no one overall strategy.  Sanchez is the guy at #1.

   2.      2.  St. Louis Rams – Jason Smith

     The Rams have more holes than the Lions defense last year.  However, with last years pick of Long on defense and Jackson on offense, they can still be competitive.  A QB, therefore, sets them back 2 years.  A WR?  Well we saw that experiment in Detroit.  Therefore, an interior lineman to replace All-Pro Orlando Pace is what the Rams need.  Jason Smith is the pick if he is still on the board.  If not, Eugene Monroe.

   3.      3.  Kansas City Chiefs – Michael Crabtree

  I  I think I am the only one who has Crabtree going here.  However, place Crabtree opposite Bowe, w/ Gonzalez and Johnson and a new QB in Cassell and the offense becomes unstopable.  Welcome to 35 points a game.

   4.       4. Seattle Seahawks – Eugene Monroe

      Hasselbeck still has life and the QB crop is better next year.  Build from the inside.

   5.       5. Cleveland Browns – Aaron Curry

   Orakpo is the pick if Curry is not available, but with Curry slipping to #5 there is no other alternative.

   6.       6. Cincinnati Bengals – Andre Smith

     There are enough WR in this draft to wait to the the second round.  Carson Palmer is coming back from injury and needs protection.  Smith has been getting a bad rap, but that's just the draft process.  This guy will protect Palmer and open up the running game, which indirectly protects Palmer.

   7.       7. Oakland Raiders – Jeremy Maclin

      Russell needs a WR.  End of Story.

   8.       8. Jacksonville Jaguars – B.J. Raji

     Remember when the Jags were good?  The interior d-line dominated.  If Raji is still avialable he goes here; if not Stafford.

9.       9. Green Bay Packers – Aaron Maybin

       Maybin is the most over-hyped, unhyped player in awhile.  He has bust written all over him, but the Pack will take a chance.

10.   10. San Francisco 49ers – Malcolm Jenkins

     Stafford supposedly flipped out over a question about his parents divorce during his interview w/ the 49ers.  A corner with the skills of Jenkins will give Willis and folks the extra second to get pressure on the QB.

11.   11. Buffalo Bills – Michael Oher

     The Bills have the QB, WR, and RB.  Now let's get them the OL that can give them all time to become explosive.

12.   12. Denver Broncos – Tyson Jackson

      Stafford is just not the guy.  He doesn't fit the Broncos.  Tyson Jackson will help shore up a weak defense.  

13.   13. Washington Redskins – Matt Stafford

      We all now know that Dan Snyder does not like Campbell.  With Stafford available he goes with the gunslinger from Georgia.

14.   14. New Orleans Saints – Everette Brown

       Saints need to shore up their defense so the offense can dominate.

15.   15. Houston Texans – Brian Orakpo

       The steal of the draft if he falls this far.  I would put money someone will trade up to get him if he starts falling, but line him up opposite Mario Williams and the Texans are competing for the Super Bowl.

  16.  16.  San Diego Chargers – William Beatty

    Protect LT and Rivers.

  17.  17.  New York Jets – Vontae Davis

      Perfect compliment to Revis.  Rey doesn't fit right with the Jets.

   18.  Denver Broncos - Louis Delmas

    The safety from Western Michigan may be a reach at #18, but he will be a solid pro.  Look for the Broncos to trade down.

  19.   19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Brian Cushing

     Brooks is gone, now they need the next generation.

   20.   20. Detroit Lions – Rey Maualunga 

      Detroit will soon be the all USC team.  

21.   21. Philadelphia Eagles – Alex Mack

     Donovon needs someone to snap him the ball.

22.   22. Minnesota Vikings – Eben Britton

     Maybe if Rosenfels has some time to throw the ball, AP will finally get that 300 yard game.  It's possible.

23.  23. New England Patriots – Beanie Wells

     Maroney is a bust, Taylor is a nice pick-up, but needs a compliment.  Enter Beanie.

24.   24. Atlanta Falcons – Brandon Pettigrew

     Perfect compliment to Ryan.

25.   25. Miami Dolphins – Darius Butler

     With Andre Goodman in Denver the Dolphins need to reload in the defensive backfield.  Butler is rising up draft charts and his speed will fit in well with the Dolphins defense.

26.   26. Baltimore Ravens – Percy Harvin

     Explosiveness meet Baltimore.  Time to give the Sophomore QB a weapon.  Scary.

27.  27.  Indianapolis Colts –  Peria Jerry

      The Colts offense will score.  Now to defend.

28.   28. Philadelphia Eagles – Knowshon Moreno

     Westbrook is getting older.  Time to find his future replacement, especially with a value like this.

29.   29. New York Giants – William Moore

     The Giants game is to keep scores low and let Manning and company score more.

30.   30. Tennessee Titans – Darrius Heyward-Bey

      Finally, the Titans take a WR. 

31.   31. Arizona Cardinals – Max Unger

      Protect the groceries.

32.   32. Pittsburgh Steelers – Clay Matthews

     The name Clay Matthews just says Steelers.
